Youngsters from the Park Royal and Wembley areas will be flocking to an Asda store this week hoping to ‘catch’ a glimpse of Spurs’ keeper Huerelho Gomez.!It’s all part of the first-ever ‘Match Attax’ football card fun day to be held at Asda Park Royal on Monday, October 25. The fun day will run between 10am – 4pm and the Spurs’ star will be in attendance from 2pm for two hours.Match Attax is a craze sweeping the nation and sees young people collect squads of their favourite footballers to take on a rival’s squad.During the fun day children will be able to take on the Match Attax Grand Master. If they are able to beat the Grand Master – and only 14 people ever have – then the lucky player will collect a special ‘Master Card’ and an England goody bag.The best player nationally will then win a Wembley weekend experience for them and their family where they will manage from Fabio’s seat and lift the FA Cup!To help keep the peace on the day Asda Park Royal community colleague Tammy Agyeman will be acting as referee for the children and will ensure they have healthy fruit to refuel on.Tammy said: “We’ve seen local children playing the game in store and decided to join up with Match Attax to put on an official fun day. It’s going to be great fun being the referee and I really hope one of the children will be able to beat the Master and get the England goody bag!”Asda has the leading price offer on Match Attax cards, selling five packs for £2 – meaning families can enjoy the fun while saving money.
